Monday Weigh-In 5/30/11

Ooops! So, was just talking to Will about how I wasn't looking forward to weighing in tomorrow because I splurged on a hamburger and ice cream today and then he says, "Don't you weigh in on Mondays? Today IS Monday." Oooohh yeah! lol

So, today's weight : 216.2, down 42lbs!

*Glad today was splurge day because now I have the whole week to work it off ;) Back to the gym tomorrow! Which is TUESDAY by the way.... lol

Size 16 and a new found motivation...

Oh, size 16, I haven't seen you since college... so nice to get reacquainted with you! I just got back from Old Navy, because I knew I didn't have any summer shorts or capris. So, Will kept Madie and I had a nice morning of shopping! I went to the rack and pulled of the 18's and 16's in each thing I liked, and was honestly having "wishful thinking" with the size 16's, but at I put them on THEY FIT! I mean, they really truly FIT. They are comfy, not tight, and awesome! It really made me feel good.

It's weird, because I know my body is different and I know I'm smaller, but I guess I still have the "fat girl" mentality, where I can't believe that I actually have gotten two sizes smaller. If I could get to a size 14, I would be.in.heaven. and with 20lbs more to go I may just get there....

Also, yesterday I was at the gym on the treadmill running my C25K app, and I found some new motivation. Recently, my dad as diagnosed with prostate cancer, and I began to think about him. I was huffing and puffing and about to give up and then I thought to myself, "No. If he can fight this cancer, than I can fight for one more minute through the rest of this run." I found something new to fight for. It was awesome, and it has motivated me to keep going with my weight loss and my training. He is a fighter, so I will be too!

-40!

Since I'm a scale junkie, I weigh myself everyday... so, yesterday I hit 217.6! :) I'm very excited about this milestone because it seems like a "big" one to me! Now... pushing on to -50lbs! Tomorrow is official weigh-in, so let's see if I can hold it off until then!

Tomorrow...

can't.wait. because it's REST day!! Wooohooo! :) 

My sister will be coming on Saturday to go to the beach with Will, Madie and I and I hope to hit my 40lbs. mark before then. I'm also actually "looking forward" to putting on the bathing suit on that I wore last year. I'm curious to see how differently  it fits....maaaayyyybbeeee I'll post a pic lol!

Finished Week 1 of C25K today and I'm interested to see how difficult it will be on Thursday when I start Week 2 on Thursday...

Monday Weigh-in: 5/23/11

Today's weight: 219.4 :) Under 220! I'm definitely getting there! Almost 40...

The week in review:
-I "took off" Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the gym.... just because ;) Sometimes I just need a little break. It may have effected me not losing as much as I typically do, but whatever. I really enjoyed the break!

- Will and I started going to the gym together on Friday. We've been everyday since and our rest days for this week will be Wednesday and Thursday. He has helped me start my weight training to help tone up some of this lost weight. We've been doing our cardio together too and he even did ZUMBA with me on Sunday! It was awesome to have that support! It's soooo helpful to have him there!

-I did Day 2 of my C25K at the gym and I'll do Day 3 tomorrow. That will finish the first week of training. Week 1 was fairly "easy" so,  we will see how Week 2 goes.

Here's to a new week and new adventures in weight loss!!

Monday Weigh-in 5/16/2011

Official weigh-in: 221.0

I'm cool with that. Almost to 40! I will feel like that is a huge milestone because a) it is. and b) I've never lost that much weight by myself.ever. That will be an awesome feeling! c) I'll be 2/3 of the way there!

I started C25K today (Couch to 5K) and I'm soooo not a runner, but I would like to try it. I did Day 1's workout fairly easily, which was very cool. It may have been easy for most people, but for me it was a big accomplishment.

Tomorrow is REST day! :) No gym.

Random tid-bits

So, yesterday evening, I ended up splurging and getting a M&M McFlurry....deeeelish and so worth it ;)

Went to the gym today, and did Zumba. If you have never done it, you MUST try! It's sooo much fun! It's like a big dance party ;)

While at the gym I started to consider taking up running. There is this app that is "C25K", Couch to 5K, and I've thought about doing it. May be cool to try since I've NEVER been a runner. Now, that I've lost some weight, I think I could actually do it. My sis is a runner (granted she's about 115lbs and has been a runner her whole.entire.life.) and it would be cool to maybe run a 5K with her one day....

Weigh-in tomorrow, should be a loss. We will see ;)

Back on the wagon...

So, I took a few weeks off from the blog and weight loss to deal with some personal issues. Now, time to try to get back on the wagon.

Diet wise: I've been on point for the last week and half, so I have actually lost weight. Getting back to work helped too. I've been eating well and no slurges....yet ;)

Workout wise: Today was my first day back at the gym and if felt A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I hadn't been in a little over two weeks and it felt so good just to go walk on the treadmill for a little bit. It was cathartic and a good way to clear my head, get focused and back on track slowly.

I weighed in today, and it was actually my lowest weigh in, which was surprising, but it felt good.

Next goal: To get back to the gym, and to get under 220. I can not even tell you when I remember being that size... maybe college?? Let's just say... it's been a while. I would like to hit that goal by June, then I have three more months to lose the last 25 lbs.

Ready or not... here I come...
